Description

 

This is the first ever bra designed specifically for trans girls and non-binary tweens and teens and trans women.   It's made for people that have not gone through chest development to start experimenting with shaping up top.

The bra features a crossover design with scalloped edges and adjustable straps. A clasp is included for those that want to experiment with "putting on a bra". The straps are stretchy enough to allow the bra to be slipped over the head without unclasping.

The bra includes a removable set of pads and will have extra room to allow for multiple pads like those that come with RUBIES Shaping Chest Pads.

Previously, our sizing was youth oriented, spanning from 4-24.

Now we have divided our collection into Youth Sizes 4-16 and Adult Sizes XS-4X

Youth sizes 12, 13, 14 and 16 are exactly the same as adult sizes XS, XS+, S and M. So if you are in this range you can order either the adult or youth sizing.

For a while we will be listing the old youth sizes on our website next to the new adult sizes, such as - L/18 or 1X/20.

To keep your RUBIES feeling comfortable and keeping their shape: wash cold on gentle with mild detergent. Avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Lay flat or hang dry and skip the dryer to protect the fabric stretch. Do not iron.

Lovely beginning.

This is my daughter's first bra. She's found it to be easy to get used to wearing and we love that she can now gradually add padding at a rate that will feel natural and affirming to her as her friends are experiencing AFAB puberty. Thanks Rubies!

Comfortable & Flattering

Great for day-to-day wear, this is the only bra I've had* that both doesn't hurt to wear all day while remaining functional. It's quite comfortable as far as bras go. It's cute and quite flattering on me and provides substantial shaping, both by itself and with clothes over it, but in a way that looks and to some extent feels like there's actual breasts (albeit small ones) under it, unlike other bras I've had which have either provided minimal shaping or looked and felt like arbitrary mounds placed on top of my chest. It may not seem like a big difference, but, at least for me, it was the first time my brain visually registered me as having breasts with a bit of padding on top and thus got euphoric, rather than seeing it as just using padding to pretend I had them. It stays secure throughout the day, including during exercise (although its not breathable enough to not get sweaty if you exercise in it). I got this shortly after starting E, and it has remained just as comfortable, flattering, and functional so far as my breasts have developed. For context, I'm a 20yo nonbinary trans women who went through male puberty.

*Granted the other ones were all from Walmart. Including t-shirt, push-up, and sports bras. Went with Rubies for my first "nice" bra, since I already trusted & had good experiences with them & their products, and haven't had a reason to try another brand/store in the most of a year since.
